This Position reports to:

Product Marketing Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy in assigned area to meet business objectives. Each day, you will implement marketing activities and support Sales organization in driving sales and services for respective products. You will also showcase your expertise by driving sales efficiency by providing appropriate product knowledge information and training.

The work model for the role is: remote (#Li-Remote) supporting the West Coast.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions business.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Drive Business Growth: Achieve double-digit annual growth in Medium Voltage Outdoor Products and Instrument Transformers & Sensors by developing strategic plans and executing targeted customer action plans.
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Foster strong internal and external partnerships with ABB field sales, channels, end customers, and other ABB business units, with a focus on end-user engagement and collaboration.
  • Lead Commercial and Technical Initiatives: Evaluate customer needs, implement business strategies, lead cross-functional project teams, negotiate commercial arrangements, and ensure product viability and market alignment.
  • Support and Compliance: Provide training and guidance, maintain performance standards, develop long-term regional strategies, ensure legal compliance, and travel as needed (approx. 30%) to support accounts and initiatives.

Qualifications for the role

  • Education & Experience: Minimum 6 years of technical, application, and marketing experience with a BS in Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (Electrical Engineering preferred); advanced degree is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in medium voltage power distribution systems and equipment, including Instrument Transformers, switchgear, transformers, reclosers, and breakers.
  • Customer & Market Insight: Skilled in analyzing market trends, understanding customer procurement processes, and developing tailored strategies to drive ABB product adoption and sales growth.
  • Communication & Ethics: Ability to clearly and persuasively communicate technical product benefits to customers and partners; committed to ABB's safety and business ethics policies.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $98,700 and $183,300 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
