Scope: CAM Engineers convert raw customer data into custom-tooled artwork which meets internal manufacturing guidelines as well as customer requirements and specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read customer data in and confirm all required tools are supplied correctly and completely.
  • Analyze customer data to insure manufacturability per company guidelines.
  • Perform Design Rule Checks (DRC's) and check results.Track productivity, and yield by operator.
  • Review of customer designs and specifications.
  • Adjust customer design to work with our processes.
  • Tool the data per internal company requirements and customer specifications.Work closely with Methods Engineers to make sure materials, processes and designs meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain the electrical integrity of the design.
  • Confirm data integrity through the use of Netlist comparisons.
  • Create additional artwork tools not supplied by customer when necessary.
  • Output tooled data to AOI, LDI, Electrical Test, Laser, Drill, and Rout departments.
  • Maintain a system in which each operator is responsible for retaining all job related information in a shared database.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong computer skills including experience in Genesis and InCAM software preferred.Knowledge and experience in computer automated manufacturing (CAM)
  • Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and specifications.
  • Thorough understanding of PCB fabrication.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Focus on details, quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Understands GD & T. Experience with designs, including blind & buried vias, laser micro vias, and high reliability requirements desired.
  • Ability to recognize when end requirements cannot be met based on design attributes, and be able to effectively communicate issues, and provide solution/s.
  • Works with levels of technology to include resistor technology, cavity design, foam applications, assembly technology designs, and RF & composite technology.
  • Has a thorough understanding of GD & T. Experience with complex designs, including embedded resistors, thin film resistor technology, thick film resistor technology, cavity technology, RF, composite technologies desired.

Education and Experience:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor degree preferred

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years relevant experience.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
