The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Summary Screens referrals for Psychological and Psychiatric services for all Childrens Specialized Hospital locations, Interviews referral sources, answers questions, and obtains information to assist in determining need for services and what type of services are needed, Forwards information to staff who schedule Psychology and Psychiatry, Assists in families obtaining outside resources if pertinent, Section III Job Qualifications, Education, Training, Certification, Licensure Comments Required Masters degree in psychology or related field, such as social work, Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, customer service, and organizational skills, Familiarity and knowledge of childhood diagnoses, DSM 5, and psychological testing strongly encouraged, Knowledge of community resources preferred, Familiarity and comfort with electronic medical records and MS Office suite, Special consideration given to candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish, Work Environment and Hazards Comments Ability to maintain a high degree of initiative and organization, Special Physical Demands Comments Office and hospital setting, Work Contact Group and Additional Responsibilities Comments Ability to work effectively as a team member in a hospital setting committed to providing total quality management of its patient population, Ability to relate therapeutically with families, display cultural sensitivity, and strong sense of empathy, Job Specific Requirements Performs other duties as assigned by Psychology Supervisor, Screens referrals for mental health service, determining severity and what types of services are needed, Assists with making referrals to community mental health programs and acute psychiatric services, as needed, Initiates scheduling process to schedule psychology and psychiatry services, Formulates and manages group therapy scheduling process, RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer |
