What You Can Expect

As our Site Administrator III, at ENGIE's Medical Area Total Energy Plant (MATEP) in Boston, MA, you will have a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of employees in the workplace. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety protocols, inspecting workplace environments, and educating employees on safety procedures. You will be responsible for championing Health and Safety programs for the MATEP Operations team, partnering with other business entities and operating companies', as well as Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) staff to influence an organizational culture that leads to an injury free working environment.

Every day you will support safety excellence through engaging with plant staff and leadership, incident review, safety trend tracking, and providing training and guidance. You will report to the EHS Manager and assist in development and implementation of MATEP's Health and Safety Plans ensuring compliance with ENGIE's Health and Safety Programs, policies, procedures and processes.

You will:



  • Ensure a smooth workflow by performing various HSE related administrative duties that require good organizational skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail
  • Create and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Plan and conduct training sessions for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of protective equipment
  • Perform regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols and identify potential hazards
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine their causes and propose preventative measures
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and/or dangerous conditions, develop corrective actions and/or strategies to mitigate them
  • Coordinate safety meetings, drills, and other safety awareness activities
  • Maintain safety files and records. Keep detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions and prepare reports for senior management
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Work with other departments to ensure a safe working environment
  • Analyze data and identify trends in safety incidents
  • Use problem-solving skills to address safety issues effectively
  • Convey safety guidelines and procedures
  • Lead and motivate a team to prioritize safety in the workplace
  • Stay current with the latest health and safety regulations and best practices



What You'll Bring



  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a safety-related or administrative role
  • Willingness to work towards and achieve Certified Safety Professional and OSHA safety certifications



Additional Details

This role requires attendance at a works siteon a daily basis

Must possess a valid state issued driver's license

Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Required to properly use and champion personal protective equipment

Ability to meet the highest attendance requirements

Ability to communicate effectively digitally, verbally and in writing

Ability to handle multiple assignments on time with a high degree of accuracy

Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

This position consists of 15% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions

Compensation

Salary Range: $61,400.00 - $94,070.00 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
