The Position

As a Systems Integration Lead, you will be pivotal in driving the successful development and launch of our complex medical device (MD) and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) systems. You will lead critical cross-functional initiatives, manage high-impact task forces and teams, and orchestrate seamless collaboration across diverse teams to deliver innovative, high-quality products to market, with a particular focus on diabetes care solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, cross-functional, or international projects with high risk potential and/or strategic impact for Roche, independently developing solutions for unique problems, particularly within the NPC portfolio focusing on Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) and related key initiatives.

  • Lead task forces, serve as Epic Owners, and drive critical initiatives as needed, with particular emphasis complex hardware-software integrated systems

  • Develop, optimize, and implement functional project plans, keeping them updated and integrating them into overarching plans. This ensures efficient communication and problem-solving, with escalation to the supervisor only in exceptional cases.

  • Accountable for achieving project goals within defined budgets, timelines, and quality frameworks, and proactively managing dependencies on other projects, with a strong focus on driving successful outcomes for CGM and other NPC Systems.

  • Continuously establish and improve appropriate working structures for coordination, technical alignment, and focus of project team members to achieve project goals, updating them according to project phase requirements.

  • Lead and inspire project team members through technical and leadership expertise, ensure communication and collaboration with internal contacts (including driving necessary cross-Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS) and Roche Information Solutions (RIS) collaborations), and develop a basis of trust with external partners/stakeholders.

Who you are:

(Required)

  • You have an advanced degree (preferably master or PhD) in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, other life sciences field

  • You have 5+ years of experience in R&D/product development within the medical device (MD) or IVD industry; you have a demonstrated level of expertise in system and product understanding; a high level of understanding in development process and regulatory requirements

  • You are fluent in English language skills, with a demonstrated level of communication

  • You have demonstrated experience in setting up and managing complex project teams through mentoring and coaching.

Preferred:

  • You have experience leading people, with examples of strategic foresight; inspiring people-centered leadership skills

  • You have experience in collaborating in global, cross-functional teams

  • You have strong interpersonal skills: Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and influencing skills: has built and cultivated important relationships both inside an organization and externally. Has proven abilities to influence internal partners and stakeholders, thought leaders, national advocacy organizations, national standard-setting bodies, and other relevant external parties. Seamlessly collaborates with colleagues/other parts of the organization.

This position is based in Indianapolis, IN. This is a hybrid based position.

Relocation benefits are not being offered for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is $123,000 - $229,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
