Overview

The Mortgage Retail Regional Manager will be responsible for meeting Production and Profitability goals as defined by Executive Management for specific branch/cost center while adhering to all bank policies. This position will have daily responsibility of managing both Loan Officer activity and performance, along with building working relationships with operations fulfillment to include processing, underwriting, and closing.

Responsibilities

    Recruit, build, and train complete mortgage banking team to include productive loan officers and producing sales managers, while assisting recommending any needed processors, underwriters, and closers and assist in balancing head count accordingly based on volume, goals, and objectives
  • Monitor performance metrics for the region in a consistent manner and manage to ensure Renasant Bank benchmark service levels are achieved or exceeded
  • Maintain a minimum pipeline of personal production
  • Participate and contribute in management meetings as required for Mortgage Division
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in local real estate market, as well as changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government insured mortgages
  • Lead regular meetings with the team assigned to foster a sales and training culture
  • Establish a close working relationship with bank market leaders within the bank footprint assigned
  • Create an an effective strategy for MLO bank branch coverage
  • Promote and manage the sales team to consistent cross-selling of bank products to mortgage loan customers and potential customers at each opportunity
  • Establish and maintain active community involvement to enhance the bank's CRA effort
  • Remain actively involved in professional organizations in order to maintain contacts
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of related job/mortgage banking experience required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Agency Guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, and HFA/Bond)
  • Ability to work with all internal and external contacts in a professional manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of MBS movements, mortgage banking profit margin models, and buy/sell strategies. Knowledge of whole loan, forward, bulk, and mandatory sales preferred
  • Detail-oriented and possess excellent problem solving, follow-up, and customer service skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Heavy statistical and analytical skills/mathematics aptitude
  • Must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software programs
