Position Overview:

This position is a multifunctional role that will support the retail branches and Branch Administration areas as well as providing support in the operational/administrative functions of the Consumer Banking division.

Primary Accountabilities:
Audit/Regulatory Upkeep
  • Demonstrates sound regulatory knowledge with deposit products; stays current with consumer regulations.
  • Participates in the process of updating and the annual review of the Retail Vendor Management, Risk Management and Business Continuity programs.
  • Responsible for auditing branch wide quality assurance programs to ensure branch operational integrity. Includes periodic quality assurance branch visits resulting in a documented operational score.
  • Acts as U-oogle point of contact for creation and management of existing and new documents.
  • Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Reviews and manipulates data for trend analysis.
  • Reviews, updates and monitors consumer bank's reports and statistics for accuracy and clarity.
Customer/Vendor Services
  • Assists in the administration of day-to-day activities of the division by handling first line contact with customers, vendors, and internal employees. Reviews individual situations and initiates appropriate action(s) in the absence of the Branch Administration Manager.
  • Interacts with customers to resolve escalated service issues as needed.

Leadership
  • Approves wires, cash withdrawals and other items at the Branch Manager Authority Level. Responsible for evaluating and resolving complex situations in conjunction with branch managers.
  • Responsible for developing and updating Retail bank policies in collaboration with Branch Administration Manager.
  • Helps ensure consistency within the branch network by analyzing business practices and procedures.
  • Manages a variety of retail projects and acts as a lead retail representative on bank wide projects and initiatives when required.
  • Assists with branch wide scheduling, including reviewing, and maintaining branch wide vacation calendar.
  • Collaborate with RBS staff for facilitation of quarterly senior teller meeting.
  • Frequently works within the branch network to fill staffing needs, including Saturdays, and to provide feedback on systems and processes to retail administration. Long term branch coverage may be required during unforeseen or emergency situations, including managing branch locations.
  • Makes recommendations on process and system wide changes.
  • Strong knowledge of COCC systems including the ability to train others in the system. Will work on annual COCC Insight releases and upgrades, including testing of all upgrades.
  • Works with various departments within the bank to resolve retail related issues as they arise. Resolves daily accounting, and deposit related issues, including account opening and account maintenance issues.
  • Will be part of the team assigned as coverage of the Saturday Hotline, ATM monitoring, alarm calls, other activities with regard to branch operations and staffing.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience working in a retail banking environment required.
  • Intermediate computer skills including a high proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong knowledge of COCC systems preferred.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain NMLS
  • Must have excellent oral, written, interpersonal, math and computer skills.
  • Must be able to work without direct supervision, solve problems, perform under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to deal pleasantly and professionally with both customers and bank associates in a team environment.
  • Proven record of learning new systems, processes, and procedures quickly.
  • Ability to work a flexible weekly schedule as needed, including frequent driving.
  • Participation in bank sponsored events during non-bank hours is required as needed.
