The
Sr Manager, Fleet Operations provides direction, leadership, and operational guidance to a team of employees. The Sr. Manager is also the conduit to business partners establishing and maintaining relationships, determining needs, mitigating risks, and addressing processes through frequent meetings with partnership's senior leadership. The Sr Manager, along with other Fleet Leadership professionals are responsible for ensuring compliance of and review of corporate policies, development and execution of business plans, implementing procedures to improve efficiencies, driving revenue, managing budgets, and future strategy development.
Duties and responsibilities
- Establish and maintain exceptional relationships with business partners discussing and enhancing vehicle operations, processes, needs, risks, efficiencies, and future strategies
- Responsible for the development of employees, performance management of the team, and guidance that enhances the abilities of team members
- Provide direction, leadership and operational guidance for team members on the operational aspects of fleet, participation, communication, process & policy, and compliance
- Manage and oversee all aspects of vehicle operations within assigned market(s), team performance, compliance (regulatory and company), safety, training, and facilities
- Develop and review work plans, staffing, service quality, KPI metrics, and workload with team
- Provide budget guidance and report on operating costs for the Fleet Operation maximizing efficiencies and reducing liability exposure
- Ensure compliance with all safety programs, guidance, and practices to promote an environment of zero injuries or accidents
- Work with Fleet Leadership to develop and implement future strategic plans for the department using different methods to identify risks, capabilities, and overall gains
- Work with team to evaluate and recommend shop equipment, tools, and training to meet current and future needs
- Work with team to provide research and recommendations for future vehicle technologies that have risk and/or benefit to fleet operations
- Develop and implement key performance indicators that provide guidance for improvement of the operation, team, and business partner knowledge
- Responsible for accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, procurement purchases, maintenance records and all vehicle data
- Establish processes with team to ensure up-to-date vehicle information is shared by business partners and needs are being met for all vehicle operations including maintenance, reporting, assignments, scheduling, and compliance

Minimum qualifications include:
- BA/BS degree and 8 years of experience with at least 3 years' experience in a management / leadership role; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- 5 years of experience in a fleet or automotive environment building and leading high performing teams that consistently meet or exceed team and business goals
- Ability to build strong working relationships across the organization at all levels and as well as others outside of the organization
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with peers, business partners, and business leaders
- Self-motivated; able to manage expectations, prioritize work to meet deadlines, and manage to project and department budgets
- Experience in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Strong people skills and the ability to effectively communicate with peers, business partners, and leadership
- Ability to interact with internal and external business partners supporting corporate policy, standards, processes, and procedures
- Must have valid driver's license and meet Cox Automotive Mobility minimum driving qualification standards
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in relatable field
- 5 years of management in the fleet management or automotive environment
- Associate degree or 5 years fleet experience preferred.

USD 99,000.00 - 165,000.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $99,000.00 - $165,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
