H.B. Fuller is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Account Manager to drive sales and business development for our adhesive's portfolio in the electronics market. This individual will be responsible for managing strategic customer accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and working cross-functionally with sales, technical and marketing teams globally to deliver tailored adhesive solutions. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, a solid understanding of electronics manufacturing, and a results-driven mindset.

Ideal candidate will be based in Detroit, Michigan area

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key accounts in the electronics market segment, including OEMs, EMS providers, and Tier 1 suppliers.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and market intelligence.

  • Collaborate with R&D and Technical Sales team to propose customized adhesive solutions that meet customer specifications.

  • Execute strategic account plans and sales forecasts aligned with regional and corporate goals.

  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers and stakeholders.

  • Lead the commercial negotiation process, including pricing, contract terms, and supply agreements.

  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity data in the CRM system.

  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends to inform product positioning and strategic decisions.

  • Coordinate with supply chain and customer service to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.

  • Attend industry trade shows and customer meetings as needed to support brand presence and relationship development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of technical sales or account management experience in the adhesives, chemicals, or electronics manufacturing industry.

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as Salesforce

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Requirements

  • MBA or Master's Degree in a technical field or equivalent industry certifications.

  • Experience working in the Automotive, Medical and Consumer markets.

  • Experience working with adhesives used in applications such as ADAS systems, PCBs, ECU's, Displays.

  • Familiarity with ISO, IPC, or automotive quality standards including IATF 16949.

  • Multilingual proficiency with Spanish.

  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed organizations.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is a base of $80,000 - $100,000.
