Ongoing Recruitment - On-Call Position The University of New Mexico Athletics Facilities team is looking for dependable, detail-oriented On-Call Custodians to help support the excitement of Lobo athletic events and special activities. If you enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and want to be part of the behind-the-scenes crew that keeps our facilities clean, safe, and welcoming - we want to hear from you! This is a flexible, on-call/as-needed position with no guaranteed regular schedule, ideal for those seeking supplemental work. Most shifts occur evenings and weekends, so schedule flexibility is essential. What You'll Do: Keep our athletic facilities sparkling by performing routine cleaning: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms Restock supplies such as paper products and soap Empty trash and ensure proper waste disposal Ensure facilities are secured (lock/unlock doors as needed) Maintain custodial equipment and report supply needs or maintenance issues Support a culture of safety and cleanliness Assist with seasonal or event-specific projects and set-ups Perform light maintenance (e.g., replace light bulbs, assist with snow removal) Provide basic assistance to vendors and report any concerns to supervisors Other duties as assigned to keep our operations running smoothly Why Join UNM Athletics? Conditions of Employment Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check. If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required. Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement. All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Minimum Qualifications Less than high school; no previous experience required. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
