Summary of Position

The Executive Director, Sales is responsible to lead a team of sales professionals to meet established goals. This position works in collaboration with the SVP Business Development and other CTM leadership to design sales strategies, sell the value of CTM, and win new business. The Executive Director develops the team to help them meet their sales targets.

Responsibilities and Duties

    Lead a team to generate new business through execution of a territory plan including prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, proposal development and presentation, negotiation, and account closure.
  • Collaborate with the SVP Sales and leadership to align strategy and execution.
  • Utilize a well-established professional and travel industry network to accelerate market penetration, while actively cultivating new strategic relationships to expand business development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute digital marketing campaigns and lead generation strategies that consistently deliver high-quality, sales-qualified leads to support business development.
  • Ensure accurate and timely use of the CRM across the team.
  • Drive value in both long-term sales cycles and rapid turnaround opportunities as well as non-RFP opportunities with quick decision timeframes
  • Develop and articulate CTM's value proposition for potential customers.
  • Support the sales team in expanding their sphere of influence by facilitating relationship-building with C-level executives and other key decision-makers, providing opportunities to gain experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments and driving strategic outcomes.
  • Manage and develop the pipeline to meet the quota established by the EVP and SVP.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions, industry changes, and competitive positioning to be shared with the sales team and leadership.
  • Represent the organization at local and regional business travel industry events as required.
  • And, most importantly, achieve your annual sales target!

  • In partnership with the SVP Business Development, oversee direct and indirect reports with shared responsibility for performance management, including hiring, training, coaching, feedback, and employee development, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and team growth.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or additional, relevant work experience including leading teams
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in B2B sales with proven ability to meet or exceed quota.
  • Demonstrated prior success in selling corporate travel is preferred.
  • Experience in consultative, solution-based selling.

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close accounts
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering presentations, both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Display strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively manage internal and external relationships.
  • Stay abreast of travel industry developments and changes and utilize that knowledge to become a trusted adviser and to convert prospects to customers.
  • Willingness to travel

Pay Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Yr.
