Description

The Supervisor, AP/AR provides leadership, plans, staff, directs and controls reimbursement activities to ensure the accurate and timely determination underpayments and recovery of overpayments resulting from cost report settlements and claim adjustments. The Supervisor, AP/AR is also responsible for assisting with the coordination of all external and internal reviews.

Salary Range

$70,000 - $80,000

The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

In this role you will:



  • Perform secondary reviews of reimbursement work activities (including debt collection, treasury referrals and collections, extended repayment plans, bankruptcy, and settlements) to ensure compliance with Medicare regulations and procedures.
  • Review and monitor daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure timely processing of all activities and accurate financial reporting to comply with CMS requirements. Follow up as necessary to ensure accurate reporting of data.
  • Coordinate internal and external reviews and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Ensure timely communication and implementation of procedures/forms and CMS requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely responses to inquiries from providers and internal and external customers.
  • Assign tasks to increase accountability and engagement of our associates by focusing on clear expectations and establishing line-of-sight to Area/Division objectives so that business results are achieved.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to staff to achieve departmental goals. Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide timely coaching and feedback. Identify development needs and create opportunities for employee growth and advancement.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 or more years progressive experience in AP/AR roles, including 1 or more years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Reimbursement Principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Prior experience leading activities that result in more efficient operations through innovations or process improvements.
