PURPOSE:
The successful candidate will use their experience to work with internal customers to own capacity planning and optimize processes during the factory ramp at our Baldwin Park location. The candidate will be a key contributor to operation's support and assist with data analysis and tracking, priority setting, and continuous improvement of processes and layouts. In this position, the candidate will be interacting with the operations, process engineering, and facility teams to update and run capacity models, analyze manufacturing process flows, and identify opportunities for improvement of cycle time and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work with Operations and Engineering to maintain and improve capacity models, using these models to create plans for volume increases or changes to production.
  • Improve manufacturing processes by eliminating waste, optimizing and streamlining process flow, and implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Support daily production control meetings to track and identify issues, drive root cause analysis on new problems, and drive the IE mindset across the company.
  • Coordinate efforts with the operations team to resolve bottlenecks, staffing issues, and priority setting that could impact scheduled deliveries.
  • Track and review metric charts and focus on KPIs to meet delivery performance targets (for example WIP, capacity, yield, SPC, utilization, etc.); use this data to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Creation or improvement of layout and design for existing or new manufacturing space.
  • Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering plus 3-5 years of related experience; or Master's degree plus 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma concepts (Six Sigma certification preferred).
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment (tech or complex processes preferred).
  • Capacity analysis & modelling.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Ability to adopt new processes & systems quickly.
  • Excellent data analysis and visualization, as well as MS office skills.



WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Majority of time will be spent in a manufacturing setting across both clean room and non-clean room settings. Will require standing and observing for periods of time. significant time in front of a computer as well. Sitting, standing, and observing for periods of time. Required time spent in clean rooms. Ability to work near hazardous materials and chemicals and follow safety procedures.
The pay range for this role in Baldwin Park, CA is between $81,400 and $106,890. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
