This Project Management opportunity is within our Coronary Therapies division working with the dynamic and high growth Coronary Imagingbusiness and focused on our systems development. Coronary Imaging is a key focus area of growth for ICTx and this program will deliver meaningful technology to drive market leadership.Manage projects within New Product Development to deliver critical therapies/systems to patients and clinicians in support of BSC's mission.

About the Role:

As a key member of the New Product Development group, you'll manage or support large-scale projects, drive cross-functional team efforts in defining objectives, scope, schedule, budget, workstreams deliverables, and help in portfolio delivery in alignment with the long-term Franchise strategy.




  • Primary responsibilities include development, execution, and leadership of a project team - across functions, business units and manufacturing sites - to successfully deliver a defined product to the business.
  • The focus of this role will be on projects related to Software, Hardware, and Capital Equipment within the PCI-Guidance business.



Work Mode

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role has a hybrid work mode, with expectations of this individual being based out of our Maple Grove, MN, location at least 3 days per week.

Your Responsibilities will Include:



  • Lead cross functional, multi-dimensional product development teams through all phases of the project.
  • Develop and implement overall project plan, including cost, schedule, risk, performance and monitor progress against business key objectives and goals.
  • Establishes strong relationships with other functions in the cross-functional team (R&D, DA, PD, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Quality, etc.).
  • Manages the technical challenges of technology application and new product development; identifies, communicates, and manages moderate to high levels of technical risk.
  • Track project progress, manage budgets, provide transparent communication and interfaces with all areas affected by the program/project including cross-functional stakeholders, business sponsors and senior management.


  • Manages project budget and resources accurately and responsibly; facilitates budget and resource estimates for Strat Plan and AOP
  • Responsible for team and cross-functional communications; liaison between the team and governing bodies - Franchise Leadership Team (FLT), Project Investment Board (PIB), Cardiology Investment Board (CIB); leads phase and business reviews, responsible for project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications. Communicates and influences resolution of cross-functional issues.
  • Product/Technology Management: Manages the technical challenges of technology application and new product development; identifies, communicates, and manages moderate to high levels of technical risk.
  • Project/Program Management: Manages key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develops and implements project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan; mentors and/or coaches other functional and project managers; manages project risks.

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Engineering or Project Management.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Small and large cross-functional project team lead experience.
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally ~10% of the time.
  • Works under minimal supervision.



Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:



  • PMP certification.
  • Experience working with Software/Hardware technology within the medical device industry.
  • Previous New Product Development experience and/or knowledge of the Product Development Process (PDP)
  • Strong organization, execution, and communication skills.
  • Candidates are comfortable in front of all levels of the organization as well as external customers.
  • Candidates have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships within project teams.
  • Problem solving technical expertise.

Maximum Salary: $232000

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
