Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in manufacturing or the rail industry? This opportunity could be the perfect fit for you!

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Project Manager to join our Engineering team at our Transit Division in Blairsville, PA. This new role plays a key part in driving the successful execution of complex projects related to the design, manufacturing, overhaul, and delivery of wheelsets and related components for passenger transit rail vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal departments and external customers/stakeholders
  • Ensure all project activities meet technical, regulatory, and quality standards, with accurate progress reporting and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing outcomes and recommending process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with operations to schedule and coordinate shop floor activities based on project timelines and priorities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management within a manufacturing or rail-related environment
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes
  • Strong track record of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively
  • Familiarity with standards such as EN 13260, EN 13261, EN 13262, APTA, and AAR
  • Background in rail vehicle or heavy equipment manufacturing
  • Experience working in matrix organizations or cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Proficiency in technical writing and project documentation
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Preferred:

  • Experience with wheelset design, forged steel materials, machining, or assembly processes.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
