Position Overview

We are seeking a well-rounded and experienced Product Manager with deep expertise in healthcare and/or payments. This individual will lead initiatives that enhance the payments experience for senders and receivers, with a special emphasis on the healthcare provider and revenue cycle management. This role will be instrumental in driving strategic product development, streamlining integration processes, and expanding market adoption within the payments ecosystem.

As a Product Manager, you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for insurance payment solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry trends. You will collaborate closely with several teams including: Engineering, UX, Data Analytics, Sales, Account Management, Client Services, and Operations teams to deliver high-impact solutions that address real-world challenges in provider payments, claimant payments, remittance, and payment automation.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the B2B and B2C payments marketplace, particularly provider payment reconciliation and revenue cycle management.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to enhance our payment and communication solutions, ensuring smooth integration and adoption.

  • Define and measure key success metrics to drive data-informed decision-making and continuous optimization.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes within healthcare payments, translating insights into actionable product strategies.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment on go-to-market strategies, including pricing models, demos, RFPs, and internal/external training.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to develop payment ecosystems that improve usability and adoption.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner in payment innovation.

  • Leverage VOC feedback to improve existing processes and drive innovation in product strategy.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Security, Account Management, Implementation, client services and payment operations teams to drive seamless onboarding and user adoption.

  • Present product vision, updates, and strategies to executive leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.

  • Work with Engineering, UX, and Data Science teams to design, build, and launch scalable payment products.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and payment processing standards as part of go to market launch and readiness.

  • Drive agile product development processes, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements and new capabilities.

  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement through proof of concepts, leveraging A/B testing and iterative development cycles.

What You'll Bring to Zelis

  • 5+ years of experience in product management.

  • Experience working closely with engineering teams.

  • Ability to think at both macro (vision, strategy) and micro (detailed execution, UX flows) levels.

  • Extensive experience in healthcare is required.

  • Deep understanding of insurance payment flows across B2B and B2C personas is preferred. Understanding of C2B personas is a plus.

  • Experience in provider payments, claimant payments, premium collection, remittance processing, and payment automation is preferred.

  • Ability to fully articulate user stories and translate them into requirements.

  • Strong ability to digest VOC feedback and pressure test existing processes.

  • Experience leading a cross-functional team through the full product and software development lifecycle.

  • Experience in pricing and margin analysis.

  • Ability to source data, define key KPIs, establish baselines, and tell compelling data-driven stories.

  • Strong storytelling skills tailored to various audience levels, including executive leadership.

  • Ability to anticipate leadership questions before they are asked and proactively address them.

  • Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience with Salesforce, JIRA, and analytics tools is preferred.

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India.
