Roll Off Driver
Position Identification:
Non-Exempt
Reports to: Operations Manager
Position Summary:
The Roll Off Driver position is responsible for responding to crews and customers in need of roll off dumpster pick-up and delivery.
Jobs Functions:
- Drives a roll off dumpster to and from job sites, customer locations, and landfill.
- Assists with operating the dump trucks as necessary.
- Assists with the organization and cleanliness of warehouse, parking areas, and all the yard property rented or owned by Tecta America.
- Maintain inventory of dumpsters.
- Communicate daily with superintendents by 3:30 pm each day to prepare needs for the following workday.
- Assist crew with load securement, as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Exceptional attendance
- Safe work practices
- Organizational skills
- Customer service skills.
- Previous experience operating a roll off.
- Previous construction experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License: Commercial Class B CDL (Commercial Class A CDL preferred).
- Hazmat Endorsement
- DOT requirements and clean driving record
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Occupational Health and Safety:
- Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control
- Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety
- Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace
Working Conditions:
Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature. Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold and in windy conditions.
