Jack Morton Worldwide is seeking a Finance Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the SVP, Finance Director, your primary focus is to provide financial support to Jack Morton's Boston office. This is a highly visible position suitable for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, service-focused individual. We're looking for someone who will bring intellectual curiosity, determination, and creativity to his/her/their work. You will be confident and insightful, think strategically, and communicate accurately and concisely.

What you'll be doing

Project Set-Up, Maintenance, and Review

* Ensure that all documentation for revenue recognition is complete and accurately processed.

* Set up projects in SAP accounting system & update data throughout the lifecycle of the project

* Properly categorize billings and costs throughout the lifecycle of the project

* Monitor financial results of jobs in progress and at completion. Work with account teams to ensure financial accuracy

* Review credit balances, refunds, and adjustments and work with Finance Director on resolving any discrepancies

Project Finance & Analysis

* Track and monitor submitted project budgets (budgets vs. actuals)

* Prepare and review job cost reports for projects

* Reconcile and explain job cost variance, with help of Producer, within two months of the conclusion of a project

* Prepare flash forecasts of variances to project budgets as required

Financial Close, Budgeting and Forecasting Support

* Work with local office leadership and the Finance Director with preparation of quarterly budget review meetings

* Manage month end close process

* Provide biweekly P&L forecast against budget and variance analysis

* Track and analyze office expenses

* Provide ad hoc financial data necessary for leaders to make informed decisions

* Assist Finance Director with monthly P&L analysis

If you can do all that, you have what it takes. It might help if...

* 5+ years of experience in project accounting or financial analysis

* Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

* Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Expert in Excel or Google Sheets

* SAP experience is a plus

* Experience in professional services is a plus
