Purpose of Position

The Capacity Planning Specialist, Senior is responsible for creating and maintaining pilot program capacity plans that drive fixed schedules and instructor availability. They leverage modeling tools to develop optimized schedules at center/program level working closely with the scheduling team and program managers to develop the capacity for multiple years using sales market data to drive the inventory requirements and instructor staffing plans. These plans are maintained to adapt to changes in staffing and market demand.

Tasks and Responsibilities

* Collaborate with sales and business analytics and analysis teams to understand the projected market demand for responsible programs and centers
* Collaborate with Program Managers (PMs) and Schedulers to understand the various footprints, qualifications, resources (instructors, simulators, classrooms) of the programs and centers assigned
* Utilize these inputs to build and maintain the capacity plans for assigned programs and centers
* Collaborate with Workforce Planning team to support the centers in maintaining the instructor staffing plans
* Coordinate with finance to match capacity and resource plans to the financial budget/forecast
* Maintain the training course inventory available for sale in FSI core system(s)
* Other related duties as assigned

Minimum Education

* High School
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics or related field of study or related experience a plus

Minimum Experience

* 5 years of relevant capacity planning, data analytics and/or inventory management experience
* Experience in process management and organizational analytics
* Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* Extensive knowledge of data analytics to optimize operational activities.
* Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel as well as analytical/optimization tools
* Ability to independently collaborate across a broad spectrum of stakeholders in a matrixed operating environment to achieve mutually beneficial results.
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes rapidly, meet necessary timelines, and perform in a fast-paced work environment.
* Results-oriented with high drive to achieve objectives independently and formulate results from ambiguous directives.
* Complex problem solver using both logic and analytics, with a focus on process and operations orientation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data-driven proposals and process enhancements to middle management, and individual contributors.
* Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or related software, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
