Position Summary The Manager Schedule Planning is a member of the Network Planning leadership team who is responsible for short and/or long range schedule planning, slot compliance, and transition of working schedules through the various phases of production until the final handoff to the operation. This Manager supervises and directs the activities of several crewmembers. Essential Responsibilities
- Leads a team of schedule planning analysts who are responsible for creating current and long range flight schedules
- Works with all Operating departments on all aspects of planning to ensure schedules align with operating constraints, cost targets, staffing plans and meets the company's operating metrics
- Prepares weekly and ad-hoc schedule changes for publication
- Configures editing, reporting and optimization tools for use by Network Planning teams
- Works closely with the Route Planning team to adjust schedules to align with passenger demand and profit & loss (P&L) performance in new and existing markets
- Aligns schedules to JetBlue's airport slot portfolio: facilitating trades; transfers; coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and International slot coordinators
- Maintains daily fleet plan, actioning schedule changes when necessary to ensure sufficient aircraft are available to the operation
- Support company's annual budget planning and quarterly guidance update process with statistics and insight based on working schedules and the daily fleet plan
- Supports other commercial and operational teams with long range planning requests and leading cross-functional projects
- Takes a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Business, Finance, Economics, or Business; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
- Five (5) years of airline planning and scheduling experience and/or related experience
- Knowledgeable in the rules and regulations governing flight crew scheduling
- Experience organizing/coordinating multiple projects while providing exceptional customer service
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to acquire and present information through independent reading, interviews with subject-matter specialists, or other appropriate methods
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work well with all levels of leadership
- Strong attention to detail
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Seven (7) years of airline planning and scheduling experience which includes managerial experience
- Proficient with airline network planning tools - Sabre AirVision Schedule, Slot and Codeshare Manager tools, diio mi, etc.
- Comfortable writing and modifying database queries using SQL
- Knowledgeable in the rules and regulations governing U.S. Domestic - International Airport slots
- Knowledgeable in the use of Airline Reservation Systems like Sabre or Navitaire
- Understanding of airline scheduling, maintenance requirements, flight crew issues, station limitations, reservations issues, etc. and be proficient with the tools that will optimize the utilization of the fleet
- Able to effectively handle numerous schedules and scheduling issues at the same time

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $81,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
