Description
Overall Responsibility Performs Special Systems design, engineering, and REVIT/CAD production for aviation and transportation projects. As a Senior BIM/CAD Modeler, this role focuses on developing high-quality technical documentation and models while supporting design coordination. The role does not require project management responsibility but supports project delivery through technical leadership and model accuracy. Essential Functions * Serves as a primary designer and technical production lead for Special Systems projects using Revit and CAD platforms. * Develops detailed design documentation and BIM models consistent with project requirements and industry standards. * Coordinates with engineering and architectural disciplines to integrate special systems design with broader project goals. * Supports QA/QC reviews, ensuring deliverables are technically accurate and compliant with client and regulatory expectations. * Collaborates with Project Managers and Engineers to align production work with project scope, schedule, and budget. * Participates in design review meetings, providing technical input and model coordination expertise. * Engages with clients, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and enhance project coordination. * Prepares and organizes model content for bid packages, construction documents, and as-builts. * Supports design team during design, bidding, and construction phases. * Interfaces with clients and vendors to gather requirements and validate model content. * Assists in the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and technical documentation for proposals and submissions. * Participates in internal meetings to review workload, progress, and model development coordination. * Ensures production adheres to Arora's quality and documentation standards. * Ensures all production adheres to quality Company Standards. Secondary Functions * Communicates technical details effectively to non-technical staff. * Supports day-to-day QA/QC functions related to modeling and documentation. * Contributes to proposals and marketing efforts with accurate technical input. * Maintains awareness of applicable billing and coding standards. * Provides informal mentorship and guidance to junior designers or modelers. Qualifications
Needed Skills
Education/Experience Minimum Associate's Degree in related field preferred. A minimum of at least ten years of progressive experience required.
