Sustainability Program Coordinator

This position has flexibility to work from Urbana or other locations: Bloomington, Peoria etc.

The Program Coordinator will join a team that approaches sustainability initiatives with curiosity, rigor, and a collaborative approach. The Program Coordinator will facilitate and support the development and implementation of innovative, data-driven sustainability solutions. They must be a quick learner who can rapidly get up to speed on any subject, cultivate relationships, and coordinate stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success and skills in program or project management, with the ability to effectively consider and integrate diverse stakeholder impacts in advancing Carle Health's sustainability efforts.

Education: Bachelor's Degree: Environmental Health Engineering or Related Field

Work Experience: Sustainability; Program coordination

• Collaborates with internal groups (e.g., plant operations, facilities, environmental health and safety, marketing, and health professional representation) to develop and implement sustainability initiatives

• Leads and promotes sustainability engagement activities through tools, education, and training to raise awareness among staff, patients, and the community

• Collaborates with the marketing and/or communications department to develop a comprehensive communications strategy

• Demonstrates strong organizational skills, time management, self-motivation, project management experience, and the ability to set priorities

• Possesses experience in change management and continuous quality improvement

• Exhibits outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• Delivers excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication

• Develops various reports for site management and regulatory groups

• Identifies local, regional, and national grants or rebates to support energy and water projects, including incentives that may impact project funding decisions

• Creates dashboards to track Sustainability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
