Responsibilities

Join Our Team as a Super Tutor at Newport Academy!

Are you passionate about education and ready to make a difference in students' lives? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities? If so, we want YOU to be our next Super Tutor!

What You'll Do:
  • Be the Hero: Step in and provide academic support to our amazing students when their classroom teacher is away. Your guidance will help them shine!
  • Enrollment Wizard: Work your magic by completing ASI enrollments based on exit grades and transcripts from local school districts.
  • Grade Book Detective: Keep a close eye on grade books in ASSIT, ensuring everything is in tip-top shape every week.
  • Team Player: Join our treatment team meetings and collaborate with classroom teachers to create the best learning environment possible.
  • Virtual Sidekick: Assist other Newport locations by providing virtual tutoring sessions when needed. Your expertise knows no bounds!
  • Grading Guru: Team up with teachers to grade written assignments and assessments, helping students reach their academic goals.
  • Data Dynamo: Monitor and collect data on student progress like a pro! Maintain an Excel spreadsheet, track attendance, and assist with daily check-ins and goal-setting forms.
  • Progress Report Rockstar: Draft weekly progress reports that highlight student achievements and areas for growth.
  • Documentation Ninja: Input case notes into our EMR system before treatment team meetings, ensuring everything is organized and up to date.
  • Supply Sleuth: Help us keep our classroom stocked with essential supplies-paper, pencils, and all the goodies!
  • Policy Pro: Stay compliant with all policies and record-keeping requirements. We play by the rules!
  • Training Champion: Keep your skills sharp by staying current on all required trainings (HealthStream, CPR, CPI, etc.). Learning never stops!
  • Other Fun Tasks: Be ready to take on other exciting duties as assigned. Variety is the spice of life!

Qualifications

* H.S. Degree or GED required
* Bachelor's level degree in related field preferably in Mathematics/Science preferred.
* Successful performance as a Tutor I o equivalent position for a minimum of six months.
