Fleet Technician A (C Vacancy)

About the Position:

We are presently seeking to fill a Fleet Technician A (C Vacancy) position at our Buffalo location, with a starting pay rate of $36.67. In addition, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more. Under direct supervision to perform ordinary types of repairs and maintenance work on equipment; and to assist Fleet Technicians of a higher grade.

Job Qualifications:

The qualified candidate for this opportunity must possess:

  • Valid New York State Inspection License (heavy duty, light duty and emissions).
  • CDL A is preferred (Must be able to obtain one).
  • A minimum of five (5) valid ASE certifications, including but not limited to T-1, T-2, T-4, T-5, T-8 or Equivalent. (Must be able to obtain).
  • Complete set of professional grade automotive repair tools required.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in Mechanical Experience, heavy duty experience (trucks), light duty experience. (Side note: dealerships, garages, automotive previous work experience, agricultural equipment, construction equipment)

Salary:

  • $36.67/Hr

Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.

Many of the terms and conditions of employment for this position are defined by a collective bargaining agreement that the Company has with a local union. Newly hired employees are bound by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement as well as other agreements between the Company and the local union.
