As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system, answering incoming calls, and completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity. This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details/clinical information. It's a fast paced, high-volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes life - saving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.

Position Schedule: Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts between the hours of 7:00am-7:00pm CST

If you reside near Flint, MI, you will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manage inbound phone line (receives calls from prescribers)
  • Verify appropriate and accurate patient information
  • Enter prescription data into pharmacy system
  • Contact patients, pharmacists and providers to resolve issues
  • Other assignments and projects as needed
  • Maintain proficiency and quality as standardized by the department

Required Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Michigan
  • 1+ years of pharmacy prescription processing experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with computer navigation and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Currently located in Michigan
  • Ability to be flexible to work between the hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday. Shift will be consistent once determined. Overtime may be required on weekdays and weekends as needed
  • Must be 18 years of age or older


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Specialty pharmacy experience
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or NHA)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
