Welder Requirements:

The Welder plays an important role within the organization by performing an integral process in the fabrication of our custom fluid handling systems. In this role, individuals will gain knowledge of the MIG and TIG welding processes. Welders are key to differentiating our company from others in the industry by fabricating quality custom skid systems to handle custom applications required by our customers. This position reports directly to the Shop Manager of the PSF Division.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Welding:

* Utilize and interpret engineering drawings for setup and inspection of parts, in addition to understanding weld symbols to ensure customer specifications are met
* Proficiently use math skills necessary in transferring print information to the fabrication process
* Prepare surfaces to be welded; set up and assemble parts to be welded
* Understand layout and sequence of operations
* Set-up, lay-out, tack-up and weld metal components to construct custom parts and components.
* Verify conformance of work piece to specifications and quality standards
* Follow and perform activities critical to implemented Quality Management System
* Follow safety rules and expectations; use safe work practices
* Perform all tasks assigned by the Shop Manager, which includes assembly, fabrication, testing, or assisting other shop employees as needed
* Complete light paperwork
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Follow all Safety and Quality System policies and procedures

Education and Experience

* High school education, or equivalent required
* Must be certified to AWS D1.1 welding standard, at a minimum
* Capable of reading, analyzing and interpreting technical specifications, blueprints, welding symbols and do basic math
* Knowledge of raw materials, machines, tools and metal fabrication processes
