Position Title: SME Cloud Project Manager

Location: Hill Air Force Base, Utah

Clearance: ****This position requires an Active Secret Clearance****

Salary: $180,000 - $195,000

Position Summary

Command Cyber Solutions, LLC (CCS) is seeking a highly skilled SME Cloud Project Manager capable of leading a highly talented team on daily IT operations and project progress. The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing complex cloud-focused projects within a DoD data center environment. This role involves overseeing all aspects of project lifecycles, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle OCI) and experience managing projects within DoD environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, task breakdown, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets. Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to established plans and proactively addressing any deviations or risks.

  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with and manage expectations of various stakeholders, including technical teams, business users, leadership, and external vendors. Facilitate communication and collaboration between all parties involved.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle. Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges and ensure project success.

  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage project resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and equipment. Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress against established baselines, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports to stakeholders. Identify and address any performance gaps or issues promptly.

  • Cloud Technology Expertise: Leverage expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle OCI) to guide project decisions and ensure optimal utilization of cloud resources.

  • Collaboration with Data Center Architects: Work closely with DoD Data Center Architects to align cloud projects with overall data center strategy and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

  • Compliance and Security: Adhere to DoD security regulations and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure that all cloud projects comply with relevant security and compliance requirements.

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field - experience can be substituted for

  • Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience in project management, with a focus on cloud-based projects.

  • Experience working within DoD environments highly preferred.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Certification (Highly Preferred):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Certified Cloud Professional (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect)

Certification (Preferred):

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

  • ITIL Certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle OCI) and their related services.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana).

  • Understanding of data center infrastructure concepts (e.g., servers, networking, storage, virtualization).

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to build consensus and foster collaboration among diverse teams.

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

  • Basic office work environment at government facility location

  • Scheduled hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

  • May require participation in a rotating schedule for off-shift and weekend work.

  • On-call availability for critical escalations and emergency situations
