Work Schedule: This is a part-time position; < 29 hours per week; non-exempt position. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Position Overview: Under the direct supervision of Dr. Santner, the student will perform scientific research.

Essential Functions.

The students will operate, maintain, and improve combustion experiments. They will write software in Labview, Matlab, Excel, and/ or Python to operate and analyze experimental results and document research results in reports. They will advise, supervise, and mentor student researchers.

Note: These job duties does not involve handling level 1 data.

Requirements: The incumbent must have strong computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite, and pay attention to detail. The incumbent must have working knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and combustion theory and analysis. The incumbent must be able to design, construct, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot gaseous flow systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to complete tasks without prompting.
