Job Overview
Under the direction of the Regional Coordinator / Deputy Project Manager, responsible for accomplishing contractual obligations for assigned contracts. Responsible for daily operation and oversight of all facets of contract administration, including supervision of employees, safety, financial management, and personnel administration. Salary Range: $90-$100K Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Act as an official representative for Chugach and our subsidiaries.
- As directed, perform a variety of duties requiring an understanding of the government supply system (if required), programs, policies, work methods, or other established guidelines.
- Assists in developing cost estimates, correspondence, and status reports.
- Confer with and advise other management personnel regarding projects and priorities.
- Maintain adequate levels of tools, equipment, vehicles and supplies.
- Plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Maintain accurate records related to all work performed.
- Originate necessary documents, forms, reports, etc.
- Ensure timely submission of required reports to the customer.
- Inspect and diagnose problems to determine corrective actions/repairs.
- Adherence to contract requirements and CGS policies.
- Adheres to and enforces all safety and health rules and regulations.
- Assist the Regional Coordinator / Deputy Project Manager in negotiating contract changes with the Navy on behalf of CGS.
- Responsible for all purchases, financial transactions, and obligations on behalf of CGS.
- Responsible for all personnel actions and programs for CGS employees on assigned projects
- Responsible for the health and welfare of CGS personnel on the job, as well as for compliance with all OSHA requirements in the workplace.
- Responsible for compliance with all environmental laws, and directives as applicable to the work performed by CGS and subcontractor personnel.
- Responsible for all documents and reports submitted to the Navy and CCG.
- Accountable for all activities involved in the performance of work on the assigned projects
Accountable For:
- Completion of all reports, correspondence, and communications required by contract or corporate headquarters.
- Timely completion and accuracy of all work.
- Working closely and harmoniously with other employees.
- Adherence to contract requirements, safety and health regulations, and company policies.
- Punctual attendance.
- Management of assigned staff
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Five years' experience in grounds maintenance and in all aspects of grounds management.
- Knowledge of construction and subcontractor relations, Government Contract experience, capable of creating and maintaining paper flow in an organized manner, and estimating experience.
- Supervisory skills in planning, organizing, and completion of scheduled work.
- Must have basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, & Outlook.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license with excellent driving record.
Preferred:
- 2 years' horticulture experience.
- Able to communicate effectively in English & Spanish.
- Irrigation experience.
- Federal government experience in a military facility requiring grounds maintenance.
Working Conditions:
- Work is both in an office environment and routine exposure to field activities. The incumbent should be able to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, talk, hear, and write. The incumbent should be able to use limbs and body members with a good range of motion. Occasional lifting, pushing, or moving of objects weighing up to 35 pounds may be required. Should be able to use common office machinery including computers, printers, tablets and associated software and applications. Work hours are subject to change, with weekend and/or holiday work as needed. Some travel, including overnight, will be required.
