Admissions Officer

Requirements

The Admissions Officer is a regional position that assumes full responsibility for a geographic admissions region. This will include organizing the recruitment of prospective students by counseling applicants and their families about academic programs, student life, financial aid and admissions standards. The position also assumes responsibility for advising accepted students to enroll. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate the efforts of the Alumni Admissions Program committees within their Admissions region, including both public relations efforts.
  • Coordinate the interview assignment as well as travel to their region to visit high schools, participating in joint recruitment activities and hosting meetings for local alumni.
  • Work collaboratively with selected Admissions Committees to evaluate and process the academic credentials and personal qualifications of applicants to make accurate admissions decisions.
  • Participate in the admissions decision-making process.


Work Interactions

This position reports to a Senior Associate or Associate Director of Admissions and serves as a regional admissions officer. In that role, the position is involved in the recruitment and evaluation of applicants for Admissions. Internally, this position will interact with other members of the Admissions committees in evaluating student applications. Externally, interaction will take place with students and parents in on-campus information sessions, individual meetings, phone conversations, visits to high schools within this position's assigned admissions region, meeting with Alumni serving on AAP committees.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • The Admissions Officer position is an entry level; One or more years of prior admissions experience is preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, but a Master's degree is preferred

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$44,022.00 - $73,406.80

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
