Job Summary:

The Warehouse Lead Person is responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor and S&R department with all inbound and outbound treats items. This role will additionally be responsible for assisting and/or performing specific functions related to order prep, billing, packaging receipts, and inventory control of all packaging and finished goods.

  • Hourly Competitive Starting Pay - $23.60/hour

  • $1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift positions

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

General

  • Coordinates the daily/routine activities of the team ensuring all members are working safely at all times, achieving maximum productivity and adhering to PPH's policies and procedures.

  • Support PPH's commitment to quality and food safety.

  • Assist in the resolution of technical problems, scheduling conflicts, equipment issues and employee concerns.

  • Participate as a team member on improvement projects and organizational committees.

  • Work hands-on in the warehouse area as needed to cover the work load, demonstrate expectations, and train employees.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or appropriate.

Shipping

  • Print our pick sheets and placards for outbound orders.

  • Organize the picking schedule and staging process of outbound orders

  • Oversee the loading process to ensure all orders ship as intended.

  • Assist in the Bill of Lading process when necessary.

  • Verify Outbound paperwork.

Receiving

  • Coordinate the unloading of all inbound packaging materials.

  • Verify all receiving paperwork is completed and turned into the correct location in a timely manner.

Warehouse/Inventory

  • Perform monthly cycle counts on the finished products in all warehouse locations.

  • Perform weekly packaging and ingredient counts.

  • Audit packaging and label storage areas daily to ensure cleanliness and FIFO processes are being followed.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage several activities / projects at once, to organize / prioritize work, to stay current with assigned workload and to problem solve

  • Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment.

  • Contain a high sense of urgency and attention to detail

  • Be self-motivated and have independent work habits

  • Have the ability to motivate and lead team members

  • Ability to gather all information relevant, decipher the data and make decisions that meet our customer's expectations while conforming to our policies and procedures.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Ability to work with or without supervision.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English preferred, Spanish preferred.

Demands and Work Environment

  • The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, grasp with both hands, or feel; substantial movements (motion) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; reaching and pulling with hands and arms.

  • Prolonged standing. Occasional walking is required for short distances.

  • Lift in excess of 25 lbs on a regular basis.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include having accurate color vision.

  • Occasional turning and twisting at the waist.

  • This employee may be continuously exposed to temperatures ranging from 40 - 85 degrees.

  • Exposure to wet conditions.

  • Noise level is moderate.

ABSENCE: In the absence of key personnel the employee's supervisor or qualified designee (one that has been trained in the key employee's duties) is responsible to complete or delegate the completion of all required tasks and responsibilities.
