Description

  • Manages the process of reviewing, organizing, scanning, and uploading legal and loan support documents for optical imaging. Ensures that imaged files are promptly transferred from the mortgage loan origination system and sent for archival.
  • Oversees all aspects of new loan boarding, including transferring data from the loan origination system to the servicing system, activating mortgage insurance certificates, and uploading legal descriptions to the real estate tracking company.
  • Responsible for recording security deeds and processing lien releases for HELOCs.
  • Tracks and files collateral documents including original notes, recorded security instruments, and final title policies.
  • Manages the completion of all assigned tasks, reviews reports, and error logs and assists in correcting complex file errors. Provides mentorship and training to team members to reduce and prevent errors. Ensures general ledgers are timely and accurately reconciled to avoid aged items. Collaborates with Accounting staff to reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Assists with testing new software releases as it relates to the core, mortgage servicing systems, and investor reporting.
  • Stays abreast on current and impending regulatory changes.
  • Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient. Performs considerable short-term planning, scheduling, and coordinating within area of responsibility.
  • Establishes and maintains service level standards.
  • Sets objectives for team members in alignment with management to achieve operational results.
  • Allocates tasks and delegates responsibilities to staff, while monitoring progress to ensure departmental goals are met and high-quality member service is upheld.
  • Provides training, coaching, and appraises for assigned team members, recognizing and rewarding their achievements. Responds appropriately to employee complaints and issues. Cultivates strong working relationships and builds trust among team members.
  • Supports management during audits by preparing and delivering responses to auditors, counsel and internal staff ensuring successful reporting and examination outcomes.
  • Supports management in developing and implementing long-term and short-term business objectives. Interprets and implements management policies within area of responsibility.
  • Supports management in ensuring regulatory compliance, making sure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable laws and government regulations.
  • Manage the relationship with our mortgage subservicing company, Dovenmuehle Mortgage, and assist with servicing questions and requests for our residential mortgage portfolio.
  • Ensure that direct reports are cross-trained and that critical functions have multiple loan servicers available for backup purposes.
  • Update loan servicing policies and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal flood insurance requirements.
  • Manage the existing HELOC portfolio by responding to member questions and requests, overseeing audits, and ensuring loans are serviced appropriately throughout their life cycle.
  • Manages delinquent loan and collections processes.
  • Promotes and establishes strong, positive and productive working relationships within the organization through commitment to the company's purpose, mission and core values.

Education
Associates of Business Economics (preferred)
Experience
*Computer proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Internet, and Email. (required)
*Experience with Encompass and Symitar a plus. (preferred)
*5+ years in mortgage lending with 1-3 years in a leadership capacity preferred. (required)
*Associate degree in business, finance, or related field preferred. (preferred)
