We're actively seeking a talented Claims Supervisor to join our CMD Core Operations Inforce Claims Team in Newport Beach, CA; or Omaha, NE.

As a Claims Supervisor, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by driving team performance, fostering a positive and inclusive culture, and ensuring high-quality service delivery through effective coaching, development, and resource management. The position plays a key role in hiring, onboarding, and operational improvement initiatives while supporting department and organizational goals. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 81 people in the Consumer Markets division. Your colleagues will include fellow Core Operations professionals along with several other team collaborations. How you'll help move us forward:
- Team Performance & Development:
Monitor, coach, and support team members to meet performance, quality, and policy expectations through structured 1:1s, on-the-job coaching, and performance management. - Team Culture & Morale:
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment that balances customer service goals with employee experience and well-being. - Hiring & Onboarding:
Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and assimilation of new team members, ensuring alignment with role expectations and company culture. - Operational Support & Strategic Initiatives:
Identify trends, suggest process improvements, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives, ensuring team alignment with broader departmental objectives. - Self-Development & Leadership Growth:
Engage in ongoing development through coaching, feedback, and goal setting to strengthen leadership competencies and stay current on organizational practices.
The experience you bring:
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams with measurable outcomes.
- Strong coaching skills rooted in the "Leader as Coach" model, with experience conducting effective 1:1s and performance reviews.
- Demonstrated success balancing service metrics with employee engagement and morale.
- Experience driving process improvements and contributing to cross-functional projects.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, especially in hybrid or remote work
What makes you stand out:
- Participation in departmental initiatives, training programs, or cross-functional projects.
- Experience using workflow tools and systems to monitor team productivity, task completion, and quality standards.
- Ability to follow through on leadership coaching and personal development goals set in collaboration with their manager.
- General knowledge of claims policies, procedures, and compliance expectations relevant to risk operations teams.

Base Pay Range: The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$91,350.00 - $111,650.00
