Business Applications Consultant, Government - Court Management Solutions

Are you an experienced business analyst who is ready to take on the challenge of collaborating with stakeholders & delivering value-added professional services for client facing engagements? This could be the right job for you. This role works alongside the Engagement Manager, Solutions Engineer, and other members of Thomson Reuters Court Management Solutions (CMS) for successful delivery of the end-to-end software solution for our clients. Analyzing requirements, configuring the C-Track solution, participating in data migration activities and provide customer facing training are key functions of this role. The Business Applications Consultant is primarily externally focused and plays a supporting role for product management activities.

About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Business Applications Consultant, you will:

  • Serve as the primary C-Track product and solutions expert for both the client and Thomson Reuters CMS advocating a product-first approach.
  • Lead or support requirements gathering and business analysis through techniques such as: Reviewing current system documentation, mapping business requirements to functional specifications, business process modeling, data gathering etc.
  • Organize and analyze materials such as design and test specifications, design documents, and other scoping material.
  • Complete tasks with input from Engagement Manager or Senior Business Applications Consultant. Work is project-oriented and day to day tasks must be defined by employee and engagement manager.
  • Support the development of customer-specific test plans in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team to test, validate, evaluate new applications and functions, and determine issues in services and software.
  • Lead or support data analysis and mapping activities from one system to another.
  • Travel may be required to support project activities, training, and go-lives.

About You:
You're a fit for the role of Business Applications Consultant if your background includes:

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, Implementation Analysis, or related work is required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Management Information Systems, Related Field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Possess a passion for learning and mastering complex system functionality and techniques quickly through instruction and self-training.
  • Must have the ability to act independently on tasks that are both self-determined and by engagement manager.
  • Ability to flexibly adapt to a changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to comfortably and confidently present to groups.
  • Must have the ability to communicate complex information in a concise, logical manner.
  • Highly organized and computer literate with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to reach out and build relationships across teams in a remote working environment.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts and to facilitate consensus.
  • Ability To gather and communicate technical details.
  • Experience with or understanding of judicial/court process is preferred, but not required

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $130,000.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
