We are currently hiring a Chief Information Officer!. This is a full-time position that does not require working late nights, weekends, or holidays.

More than 100 employees support our agency's mission to improve the health and quality of life of the community by providing culturally competent services that address identified needs. We provide high quality, comprehensive care to roughly 16,000 patients annually, a majority of who are low-income. No one is ever turned away from our clinics based on insurance status or ability to pay. We also offer supportive services such as case management, health education and benefits enrollment.

Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for creating and implementing Progressive Community Health Center's (PCHC) information management strategy. This position is responsible for directing, administering, and coordinating the activities of the organization in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Essential Functions




  1. Information Technology



    1. Coordinates hardware and software systems to assist in the smooth and efficient flow of information.
    2. Directs the information strategy of the company based strategic goals of the organization.
    3. Explores new technologies for future planning and potential implementation.
    4. Interfaces with industry (state, vendors, partner organizations) to stay up to date on information management and information technology matters.
    5. Responsible for meaningful use attestation for eligible professionals.
    6. Represents PCHC in WINN collaboration.
    7. Leads the IT team and conducts regular meetings to make decisions and discuss project plans.
    8. Oversees IT issues and resolution log maintained by the executive assistant, escalating issues to vendor as appropriate.
    9. Conducts workflow and process mapping analysis to identify areas of improvement of EHR functionality to increase clinic efficiencies.
    10. Ensures IT risk management, EHR, and appropriate IT training is conducted as needed.





Performance Improvement Management



  1. Guides and facilitates the development, clinical quality, and productivity aspects of the organization's services.
  2. Work with each clinic (Medical, Counseling, and Dental) in the organization to develop goals for performance measures, methods of data collection and reporting.
  3. Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information such as population trends, clinical quality, and patient satisfaction to lead the clinic in performance improvement initiatives.
  4. Establishes and revises operational and clinical policies consistent with the chief executive officer's objectives and ensures their execution.
  5. Responsible for the coordination and completion of PI reports quarterly, as well as reports required by grants, state performance measures, and the performance measures section of the federal UDS report.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Master's Degree or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience in a nonprofit healthcare setting.

Experience in electronic health record software, database software, internet software, project management software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.

Experience working in a healthcare setting in a leadership position.
