We are seeking a dynamic and business-savvy Portfolio and Strategy Lead to be the key interface between our AI Program and core business units. This role is critical in ensuring that AI and automation opportunities are aligned with business needs, strategic goals, and industry best practices.
The Portfolio and Strategy Lead will drive the identification of high-value initiatives, lead business engagement, and oversee delivery within their assigned domains. You will be the go-to partner for business units across Support (Sourcing, HR, Finance, Customer Support), Marketing, Product Development, and IT (Development, DevOps, Operations).
What you will do:
Key Responsibilities
- Business Engagement & Strategy
- Serve as the strategic partner to business unit leaders, understanding their processes, challenges, and opportunities for AI/automation enablement.
- Bring an external perspective to business transformation through deep knowledge of industry trends and AI-enabled best practices.
- Translate business needs into solution concepts, prioritize opportunities, and shape roadmaps aligned with enterprise AI strategy.
- Portfolio Ownership & Delivery
- Own the portfolio of initiatives within assigned business areas - including ideation, benefits estimation, business case development, and prioritization.
- Support delivery teams by ensuring clear business requirements, timely feedback, and stakeholder alignment.
- Take ownership of successful delivery and value realization in collaboration with product, architecture, and change teams.
- AI & Solution Advisory
- Stay informed on AI technologies, tools, and industry innovations applicable to your portfolio.
- Advise stakeholders on architectural implications, scalability, integration, and value alignment of AI/ML solutions.
- Ensure alignment between business needs and technical roadmaps.
- Governance, Budgeting & Change
- Contribute to budgeting and investment discussions for AI initiatives.
- Help shape and execute change management strategies to ensure adoption and business value.
- Report on portfolio progress, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders.
The skills you bring:
Required Skills & Experience
- Business and AI Expertise
- Strong understanding of business operations in at least one or more domains: Support Functions (HR, Finance, Sourcing, Customer Support), Marketing, Product Development, or IT Operations.
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI/ML-driven solutions, automation platforms, and digital transformation programs.
- Strategic Thinking & Execution
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategy, prioritize complex initiatives, and drive measurable outcomes.
- Experience in business case development and ROI estimation.
- Stakeholder & Communication Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage, influence, and communicate with senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate across business and technology domains with confidence and clarity.
- Delivery & Leadership
- Strong experience in program/portfolio delivery, ideally in agile or hybrid environments.
- Able to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority and drive initiatives through ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, portfolio management, consulting, or transformation roles.
- Familiarity with AI platforms, enterprise architecture principles, and digital product lifecycle.
Prior experience in global organizations or multi-market environments

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience:
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
Sales Incentive Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson's Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
Your Health
Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
