- Perform duties to test product samples to ensure that customer and company product specifications are achieved and contribute recommendations to developing process improvements, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
- Ensure the testing on all extruded material and conform the results to all necessary specs and tolerance.
- Perform test functions in a suitable time frame to support production.
- Record production test results in the computer database system and make tags and labels.
- Follow the proper MRT procedure for any material out of specs.
- Perform a wide variety of product measurement techniques.
- The measurement testing includes surface roughness measurement using a profilometer, measurement of zinc weight and zinc coverage using a CMI XRF machine, Keyence vision measurement, micrometer, and calipers for dimensional specification, tensile testing for mechanical properties, operating EDM machine for vision samples.
- Perform and maintain a record of daily calibration tests on all testing equipment in the lab as necessary.
- Perform disposition of the MRT materials with the direction of the quality engineer and central quality lab.
- Breaks are to be taken outside of production downtime. (profile changeouts, set changes).
- Acquire and apply knowledge of the client's safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains work area clean and orderly by 5 S standards.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in reading blueprints, geometric tolerances, and dimensioning.
