Senior Yield Control Technology Engineer (full-time, regular)

Description:

Provide technical product support for all inspection and e-Beam tools sales activities of Metrology and Analysis Systems Division (MAD). Provide lithography metrology applications support for customers through recipe automation audits, and technical advice to marketing for sales and trade shows. Review training and demonstration materials for technical accuracy. Evaluate design, hardware/software, and applications of systems and products based on optical and e-Beam technology. Interact with hardware/software design teams to assist in overall development of the systems by specifying, selecting, and qualifying system requirements and system performance models, developing and implementing procedures, and/or evaluating and selecting appropriate applications to suit customer needs. Work with design teams to complete system or product frameworks, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility, system interfaces and applications. Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses. Influence future product development by contributing to the architecture used across multiple products or systems, and providing multi-layered technical expertise for next-generation initiatives. Coordinate design requirement reviews with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure product compliance with customer requirements. Provide multi-discipline support to customers by resolving technical issues associated with software and hardware of optical and/or e-Beam products or systems, testing new and existing designs, and documenting changes through a formal engineering change notification process. Manage the development and implementation process of products and services at customer sites; including delivering new or upgrading existing products and reviewing processing techniques and methods applied in the use and evaluation of the products. Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for system specifications. Maintain appropriate records of all work and automation audits performed, manage and maintain traveling inventory according to department policy, procedure, and/or practice, and set and keep appropriate schedules for training on the assigned customer site. Create, update, and provide highly detailed documentation for the purpose of customer and/or internal training.

25% domestic and international travel required to perform on-site technical support for customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or the foreign equivalent) in Materials Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5 years of experience in the job offered or related.

  • Experience with:

    • Hitachi DR-SEM System CR series;

    • Hitachi SEM Nano Probing System NP6300/NP8000;

    • semiconductor inline defect metrology and yield analysis;

    • SEM automated preventive maintenance system; and tool specification development for customers' defect metrology workflows
