Credence is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to provide comprehensive acquisition and program support to the S1D Directorate within Space Systems Command (SSC). This role is critical in supporting the planning, execution, and oversight of acquisition strategies and documentation for space-related systems and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DoD acquisition processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.



Salary Range

Full salary range for this position is $150,000 to $185,000 per year, with the starting salary determined based on candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

    Support the development and execution of acquisition strategies, plans, and documentation in accordance with DoDI 5000.02 and SSC policies.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing acquisition documents including Statements of Work (SOW), Acquisition Strategy Documents (ASD), Acquisition Plans (AP), and Justification & Approvals (J&A).
  • Coordinate with program managers, contracting officers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure acquisition milestones are met.
  • Track and manage acquisition timelines, deliverables, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide input to cost estimates, risk assessments, and schedule planning.
  • Support source selection activities, including proposal evaluations and documentation.
  • Prepare briefings, reports, and decision packages for senior leadership.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving acquisition policies and best practices.


Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Secret security clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in DoD acquisition or program management
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARS, and DoD 5000 series
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Ability to lift in excess of 25 lbs, standing for long periods of time, traveling across base regularly, transporting equipment, etc.
