The construction of fairlife's manufacturing facility in Webster, NY is underway. This state-of-the-art, 750k sq ft, greenfield plant is expected to be operational in late 2025 and will lay the foundation for fairlife's next phase of growth as the leading dairy nutrition provider. While coupling the industry's latest technologies and fairlife's operational excellence to build this world-class facility, fairlife plans to hire 250 new employees and bring in approximately 5 million lbs. of milk a day, with room to grow over the coming years.

job purpose: To ensure our state-of-the-art 90,000 sq ft high density automated warehouse is operating at peak efficiency, monitoring inventory turns and accuracy between multiple systems of record.

responsibilities:

* Work with equipment OEMs, operations business partners, and engineering to optimize warehouse automation equipment, including high-density AS/RS and LGVs

* Serve as a subject matter expert for all warehouse automation user interfaces, HMIs, alarm codes, and resets

* Become a super-user of our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics D365) and the WCS system (SMILE80) to assist in troubleshooting real-time challenges, providing integration improvement recommendations, and serve as a trainer to other warehouse staff

* Assist in the management of equipment OEM embedded engineers, including shadowing their maintenance and service routines for knowledge transfer, providing direction for improvement projects, and monitoring performance

* Provide recommendations and user influence to our maintenance team to help shape preventative maintenance routines, on-hand spare parts lists, and service scheduling

* Build business cases for the expansion of warehouse automation within the Webster facility or our other plants based on lessons learned

* Maintain stock and inventory records between multiple systems of record, ensuring integration points are functioning correctly across all platforms

* Monitor capacity of storage systems vs production and shipping schedules

* Analyze trends within product portfolio and recommend changes to system logic to support a dynamic demand environment

* Assist with any audits of inventory value or condition

* Assist in training of staff on use of automated equipment

* Collaborate with multiple agencies for equipment qualification

* Build and maintain KPI's relating to automated system

skills/qualifications required:

* High school diploma or GED.

* Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or similar preferred.

* A minimum of 2 years experience in logistical management in a related field.

* Proficiency in ERP software such as Dynamics or SAP

* Experience with Warehouse Control Systems such as SMILE80

* Highly analytical with ability to perform complex modeling

* Extensive knowledge of best practices in logistical management.

* Knowledge of accounting and inventory distribution practices.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Advanced leadership and organizational abilities.

* Superb time-management and recordkeeping skills.

working conditions and physical requirements:

* 8-12 hours sitting/standing/walking

* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

* Frequently reaching from floor level to shoulder level done during 8-hour workday

* Exposure to ammonia, acids, caustics, chlorines, paints, particles, oils and lubricants, steam, pneumatics, fumes.

* Operate within an office environment, with some time in an ambient and chilled WH environment.

food safety requirements:

* Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.

* Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.

* Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.

* Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.

* Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.

* Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

* In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.

Base pay range:
$70,000 $75,000 USD
