What does the job involve?
Summary: Sets up and operates hydraulic bellows machinery to form bellows from tubing. Trains on the bellows sheet metal machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
- Sets up and operates hydraulic bellows forming machinery. Responsible for the clean up of the machine/ area upon completion of job.
- Identifies parts after bellows are formed. Performs minor assembly of parts.
- Train on bellows sheet metal machines.
- Performs rework/ repair and other associated operations relating to the work described above.
- Assists higher classified Bellows Machine Operators as required.
- Assemble and size tubes.
- Clean and Oven Dry parts.
- Trim, vent hole and set live length.
- Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or 1-6 months of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills:
- Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Other Abilities: Must have the ability to interact with employees/ customers of all levels and cultural backgrounds; must have the ability to closely work with sheet metal workers and share knowledge. Also, must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Tools used:
- Hydraulic bellows machinery, overhead crane, Caliper, Micrometer, Pipe tape, crescent wrench, plastic hammer, 6" scale, identification equipment, and simple hand tools.
Materials used:
- 321 stainless steel tube stock, Alloy 625, Titanium, fittings and joints.
