Overview The Manager, Global Sustainability at AIT Worldwide Logistics will be instrumental in formulating and executing sustainability strategies with an emphasis on decarbonization across air, ocean, and ground transportation. This role will lead environmental initiatives while working collaboratively with customers to support them in reaching their sustainability objectives. Responsibilities
Execution of Decarbonization Strategies: Collaborate with carriers to implement initiatives aimed at reducing emissions across air, ocean, and ground transportation. Design and launch commercial programs to support these efforts
Qualifications Education * Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Biology, Business Management, Sustainability Studies, or related field (Required) Experience * 5+ years experience in sustainability initiatives, environmental compliance, corporate social responsibility (CSR) Green building standards (e.g., LEED, WELL), Sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP) (Required) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Renewable Energy & Emissions Reduction: Experience with carbon footprint analysis High * Climate Strategy & Reporting (e.g., CDP, GRI): Familiarity with climate disclosure platforms and sustainability reporting standards High * Green Logistics & Supply Chain Optimization: Reducing emissions through route optimization, modal shifts, and packaging improvements. High * Circular Economy & Waste Management: Implementing recycling, reuse, and waste reduction strategies in logistics operations High * Regulatory Knowledge (EPA, SEC, EU CSRD, etc.): Understanding and applying environmental regulations and compliance frameworks. High * Data Analytics & Environmental Software : Using tools to track, analyze, and report sustainability metrics. High * Digital Literacy (IoT, AI in logistics): Leveraging technology to monitor and reduce environmental impact in logistics operations. Medium |
