PRIMARY FUNCTION

Troy 7, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to support the Javelin Test Branch in the Army PEO Missiles and Space Tactical Aviation and Ground Munitions (TAGM) Project Office. The Javelin Anti-tank Missile program performs maintenance and spiral upgrades testing of the Javelin Missile System. The upgrades require stand firings, soldier firings, vehicle firings and Captive Carry flights to compare baseline vs upgrade of collected data in different environments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Planned and coordinated Javelin test activities, including test plan development, execution oversight, data collection, incident reporting, and status updates.
  • Supported developmental and operational testing across prototypes, environmental trials, engineering flight tests, and qualification efforts.
  • Interfaced with test ranges to define and manage range support requirements and key documentation such as Safety Assessments, Test Plans, and Frequency Authorizations.
  • Directed data collection and analysis for missile development, Stockpile Reliability Program, and Quality Assurance Lot Verification Testing.
  • Supported Foreign Military Sales (FMS) tests and failure analysis to ensure international customer requirements were met.
  • Led and participated in technical reviews including Design Reviews, Failure Review Boards, and Test Readiness Reviews.
  • Provided subject matter expertise for development, testing, and production of missile electronics and test sets, including CESAF, GEU, FPA, CAS, batteries, and training devices.
  • Led integrated product teams, defined milestones, and ensured alignment with Javelin Systems Engineering objectives and schedules.
  • Developed and implemented corrective processes to address program risks, ensuring technical rigor and closed-loop resolutions.
  • Delivered clear, concise briefings and reports to senior leadership, government stakeholders, and foreign customers; supported both CONUS and OCONUS test and training events.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED:

  • 16 years of relative experience and a Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with missile development, test and evaluation
  • Experience planning and executing test activities at Redstone Test Center, Yuma Proving Grounds, and other missile test ranges

DESIRED:

  • Experience with Javelin, Hellfire, or TOW missile programs .
  • Test planning experience to include development of Test and Evaluation Master Plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related technical field

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

A fast-paced multi-tasking customer service-oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. Some travel is required, depending upon program requirements. Overtime may be required.
