12 month | Monday through Thursday: 9:30am - 2:30pm | Fridays: 9:00am - 2:00pm


Position Summary

Responsible for keeping dishes washed and delivered to proper stations following all procedures and HACCP guidelines for food safety.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes and deliver them to the proper stations
  • Keep pots and pans washed, sanitized, and put away into proper storage areas
  • Unpack daily deliveries and shelf in storerooms, refrigerators, or freezers
  • Clean kitchen equipment and storage areas as assigned
  • Complete all cleaning assignments according to departmental procedures and regulatory agency requirements
  • Monitor and log temperature of dishwashing machinery to assure regulatory agency requirements are maintained at all times
  • Perform proper hand washing procedures at all times when moving from a soiled task to a clean task
  • Keep conveyor belt cleaned and sanitized
  • Bus tables as requested
  • Assist with food preparation tasks when feasible
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and seminars as requested
  • Specific job responsibilities for this position are included in the Task Description found in the work area
  • Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities
  • Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • Some High School Education
  • Current Illinois Food Sanitation Food Handler Certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Current COVID-19 and Food Allergen Certifications
  • Obtain and maintain Allergen and COVID-19 Awareness Certifications
