We are searching for a talented Pharmacy Tech-Retail Specialty

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Cancer Center - Fairhaven, MA

Under direction of the Manager, Specialty Pharmacy or designee, perform duties to support and in support of the Specialty Pharmacy including assisting Pharmacists with processing prescriptions. Count and prepare medications for dispensing, stock and maintain inventory, maintain recordkeeping including refrigerator logs, assist in patient adherence and acquiring co-pay assistance. Strive to provide excellent customer service over the phone, demonstrating proficiency and compassion while interacting with customers. Under supervision of the pharmacist, take verbal prescription orders and call prescribers offices for refills and Rx clarifications where permitted by law. Maintain customer and product database. Assist in training new technicians. May be required to deliver prescriptions to patients at the bedside and perform other duties as determined by the pharmacist to assist in daily operations of the pharmacy.

• Minimum of 3 years experience working in a Specialty Pharmacy; or minimum of 5 years experience working directly with patient benefits.
• Knowledge and experience with working with both Medical and Pharmacy benefits for coverage of Specialty Medication, as well as working with manufacturer and nonprofit organizations for co-pay assistance.
• Prior experience in assisting with the management of medication profiles and patient adherence of Specialty Medications.
• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• State Registration as a Pharmacy Technician and PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) Certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

USD $18.99 - USD $28.53 /Hr.
