Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Neurology ranging from $220,000.00 - $289,940.00. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See the Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health science compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. University of California, Irvine The University of California, Irvine, Department of Neurology is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neuro-Oncologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have clinical and research experience in neuro-oncology field. Clinical duties include inpatient and outpatient neuro-oncology care, participation in clinical trials and the teaching of fellows, residents and medical students in an adult hospital and comprehensive cancer setting. The position is offered in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series or Clinical Neurology series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank commensurate with experience. We are looking for candidates with experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary neurosciences center and those with experience with international, national, or regional professional societies. Candidates with a background in teaching and/or involvement in clinical research or clinical trials are highly valued. Applicants should hold an M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree with active board certification or eligibility in Neurology, Hematology-Oncology, or Neuro-Surgery, and have completed fellowship training in Neuro-Oncology. Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The successful candidate will teach fellows, residents, and medical students, provide patient care, participate in scholarly activities, and contribute to both University and community service. Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "Neurology" Series: The successful candidate will be expected to conduct significant research, deliver high-quality patient care, and teach fellows, residents, and medical students. In addition, contributing to both University and public service is an important part of the role. Exceptional teaching skills are a key requirement for appointment in this series. The University of California, Irvine offers an outstanding research and collaborative environment with a strong clinical program, along with basic and translational research, and close-knit workflows with outstanding neurosurgeons already established in Neuro-Oncology. Program interests include stem cell and immune therapy for brain tumors, advanced therapies for a variety of CNS solid tumors, CNS lymphoma, metastatic brain and spinal cord cancers, neurological complications of cancer and its treatment, cancer related auto-immune encephalitis, adult transition of Pediatric brain tumors, palliative supportive care for neuro-oncology patients.
