As a Senior IT Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for providing services to employees with IT issues and requests involving end-user IT equipment. You will maintain accurate, clear, and concise records of all IT equipment using ITAM technology and manage client systems and hardware life cycles. You will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert for resolving complex client systems and end user issues as well as identify asset incidents and problem trends. You will develop long-term solutions to recurring IT asset problems and work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure the highest level of operational excellence.
In addition, the Sr IT Asset Engineer will be responsible for real-time analysis of hardware for production floors, remote sales, and office staff. This will require direct support to senior leadership, understanding how IT services are consumed by all teams, and working with IT leadership. You will also provide continuous improvements, optimize IT services and equipment costs to meet their specific computer requirements through reports and dashboards.
What You'll Work On
*Oversee IT asset lifecycle: procurement, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
*Maintain an up-to-date CMDB aligned with ITIL standards and ensure accurate asset classification.
*Establish asset management policies, processes, and governance in compliance with software licensing and security standards.
*Collaborate with teams (Change Management, ITSM, HR, Finance) for data integrity, procurement optimization, and cost reduction.
*Conduct audits, mitigate risks, and track KPIs on asset accuracy, licensing compliance, and TCO reduction.
*Manage global inventory, hardware logistics, and deployment processes, ensuring alignment with ITIL practices.
*Develop training programs, SOPs, and knowledge articles to promote asset management standards.
*Lead projects for new tools or system implementations and adapt workflows to emerging technologies.
*Report to senior management on asset trends, utilization, and process improvements.
What You Contribute
* A Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 7+ years of experience providing enterprise level end user support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Solid understanding of ServiceNow asset management is preferred.
*ITIL and ITSM certification.
*Strong understanding of ITIL Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM)best practices.
*Hands on experience with Windows and Mac Laptops provisioning and troubleshootingboth hardware and software issues.
*Strong knowledge of Endpoints (Laptops and Handheld devices) product lifecycles.
*Experience evaluating new products to select the devices with the best cost andperformance efficiency.
*Proven experience in IT asset management, inventory management, or IT operations.
*Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
*Experience with contract and vendor management preferred.
*Knowledge of IT security principles related to asset management is preferred.
*Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
*High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
*Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Working Conditions
General office environment. Willingness and ability to work on site. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 5 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
Annual Base Salary Range: $93,000 - $123,000/ year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
