Advantage Technical is hiring a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to support a leading CNC machining facility near Stoneham, MA. If you're experienced in machine repair, preventive maintenance, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this is the role for you.

Position Overview

As a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring CNC machines and shop equipment operate at peak performance. You'll perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with operators and vendors to minimize downtime and keep production running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities



  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) and general mechanical repairs on CNC machines and machining centers
  • Coordinate and track third-party service calls with vendors like Packard and Ganslow
  • Maintain a PM system and accurately document all maintenance activities
  • Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives in collaboration with machine operators
  • Service and maintain coolant systems, including monthly deep cleaning and recharge
  • Operate and maintain oil coalescers, belt and wheel skimmers, and chip conveyors



Schedule & Pay



  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Some overtime available)
  • Pay: $25 - $28 per hour (Based on experience)
  • Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire Position



Preferred Skills & Qualifications



  • Hands-on experience operating, setting up, or maintaining CNC machinery (mills, lathes, etc.)
  • Knowledge of coolant system controls, mechanical movement, and conveyor systems
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills for equipment like vises, tool holders, and general shop tools
  • Ability to monitor and interpret metrics such as machine downtime, repair response time, and maintenance costs
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for documenting processes and performance
