Overview

Ready to shape the future of science and global health? ATCC, a leading nonprofit biological resources and standards organization, is seeking a Biologist to work in Quality Control Cell Biology Group onsite in Manassas, VA. This position will work with a variety of cell lines. Hands on laboratory experience with cell culture, documentation and aseptic technique required.

We're looking for a Biologist to test biological materials and standards. You'll work under minimal guidance to support the testing of biological cultures and derivative products, as well as contribute to data collection and recording.

Responsibilities

    Quality Control: QC testing of biological products by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents. Maintain laboratory safety, operations, equipment, and supplies.
  • Documentation: Maintain production batch records in compliance with good laboratory practices. Contribute to revisions of SOPs, work instructions, and data review. Collect, analyze, and report data, ensuring meticulous documentation.
  • Continuous Learning and Problem-Solving: Increase knowledge of various cell lines and organisms, and handle challenges in alignment with organizational policies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Hands on laboratory experience with cell culture, documentation and aseptic technique required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to adhere to corporate policies and procedures.


Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional incentive compensation including regular merit increases and the corporate bonus program.
