Our housekeeping team plays a vital role in keeping our hotel safe, welcoming, and impeccably maintained for every guest. The Embassy is looking for part-time or full-time Houseperson who is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences through consistent, high-quality service.

The Embassy by Rockford Riverfront is a contemporary all-suite hotel located in the heart of downtown Rockford, featuring 160 two-room suites with riverfront views. Guests enjoy top-tier amenities including a pool, fitness center, conference facilities, and two on-site restaurants.

What You'll Be Doing:

Maintain cleanliness in public areas, restrooms, offices, breakrooms, and back-of-house spaces by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing supplies
Follow established cleaning procedures and properly use cleaning agents
Support housekeeping or other departments by delivering supplies and assisting guests when needed
Restock restrooms and supply carts, and ensure all work meets cleanliness and quality standards
Safely handle and transport cleaning equipment and carts throughout the hotel

What We're Looking For:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Hotel houseman/housekeeping and/or cleaning experience preferred
Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces. Perform tasks requiring sustained repetitive motion
Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment
Ability to assist with light maintenance and perform other duties as assigned
